WHO WE ARE
The Friends of Fort Cooper are a not-for-profit Citizen Support Organization (CSO) that was established in 1989 and consists of volunteers from our community and from various walks of life.
WHEN WE MEET
The Friends of Fort Cooper meet at the Rec. Hall or pavilion located in the Park on the first Tuesday of the month at 1:30 P.M. September thru May.

WHAT DO WE DO
The Friends of Fort Cooper State Park assist park staff with maintaining and preserving the park grounds and their structures.
Through educational programs and events, Friends help to increase public awareness of the importance of preserving history and Florida’s natural environment.

Volunteer Sign-up Process
1. Go to https://volunteers.floridastateparks.org
2. Create a User ID & PW then follow steps to apply
3. Fill out “Application”, “Volunteer Agreement”, and do Combo Training.
4. Contact Penny Wilson, Volunteer Co-Ordinator when completed @ 352-586-2502 or penny.wilson@floridadep.gov
